

The manufacturing plant, located in San Vicente, Córdoba, had been operating since 2001 and specialized in the production of rubber soles and components. Over the years, it built a long track record as a supplier to major footwear brands.
According to sources close to the company, orders had declined sharply in recent times due to lower consumption of domestically made footwear, causing severe financial difficulties that ultimately led to an unsustainable situation.
For the delegates of the Rubber Workers’ Union, who represent the 40 workers left without employment, the measure has caused serious harm and led to cases of extreme hardship. They explained that since December 2025, the second-half bonus has remained unpaid, and that many employees had been working informally.
While workers gathered at the factory gates to demand a response from the company, the union warned that the case would lead to legal action if the situation is not regularized promptly.
