INSPIRAMAIS: from fashion research to the market

The 34th edition presented more than one thousand products and generated business with national and international buyers.

Attendance exceeded 7,000 people from Brazil, Latin America and Europe.

The Brazilian suppliers’ fair brought together companies, buyers and professionals connected with materials for footwear, costume jewelry, accessories, automotive upholstery and furniture on July 7 and 8, at the Pro Magno Events Center in São Paulo. The 34th edition combined launches, trends and business in an event that exceeded 7,000 visits from Brazil, Latin America and Europe.

International buyers expanded the commercial agenda

Part of the international reach was associated with the work of BRAZILIAN MATERIALS, a program developed by the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL) together with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEXBRASIL).

Through this initiative, 22 buyer groups from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Türkiye took part, interacting with 60 exhibitors through more than 520 business rounds.

The commercial results reflected that international presence. ASSINTECAL reported immediate operations for US$ 3 million and estimated US$ 12 million in business for the following six months. The figure represented a 28% increase compared with the previous edition. Silvana Dilly, superintendent of the entity, said that this result was “even more relevant” given the current international scenario.

The edition was also linked to the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union. Dilly noted that the gradual reduction of tariffs on imported components could improve the competitiveness of national products in Europe.

In this regard, the gradual elimination of these duties represents “an important differential” for capturing European demand. This view was connected with another characteristic highlighted by the entity: the combination of price competitiveness and sustainable attributes in Brazilian products, which are of interest in that market.

More than one thousand products translated the Essência research

The Essência research provided content for more than one thousand products launched during the fair. Developed by ASSINTECAL’s Research and Design Center, the proposal presented a review of luxury and worked around two axes: Purism and Popism.

The first took as reference a return to the essential, with emphasis on material, refined aesthetics, smooth leathers and laminates, soft textures, comfortable shapes, oxidized metallics, embroidery and complex weaves. The second recovered references from Andy Warhol and pop culture, with varied colors, floral prints, shapes associated with the 1980s, material mixes and overlays.

The event expanded its reach among companies and sectors

In addition to the international presence, business caravans were promoted from Birigui/SP, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Nova Serrana/MG, Blumenau/SC, Franca/SP, São João Batista/SC and Jaú/SP. These missions formed part of the work to bring companies closer to information on fashion trends and the market.

The edition also received buyers from sectors that had not previously participated in the event. According to Dilly: “The cross-sector nature of the materials presented by our more than 150 exhibitors is increasingly visible in our aisles, with buyers from different segments, ranging from footwear to the automotive sector”.

The next edition will arrive in Porto Alegre

At the closing, the organization announced that the next edition will take place on January 26 and 27, 2027, in Porto Alegre, with Camuflagem 2028_I as the thematic reference.
