Despite fewer exhibitors, EXPOCAIPIC remains a meeting point
A new edition of the event took place at the Hall of the Americas, on the campus of the National University of La Matanza, in the district of the same name, in the western part of Greater Buenos Aires. The exhibition brought together suppliers of leather, materials, textiles, components, accessories and technology for the footwear and manufactured goods industries. The event focused on the Fall-Winter 2027 season, showcasing various developments for upcoming collections.
Aware of the difficult circumstances facing the industry, marked by recession and uncertainty, exhibitors and visitors sought to overcome the challenging situation by establishing new contacts and holding meetings, which ultimately helped improve morale and identify new opportunities. It became clear that, despite the industry's difficulties, the trade fair retains its value as an industry benchmark and meeting point.
Among the 30 stands occupied by 20 exhibiting companies, the most prominent and attractive sectors were tanneries, which presented new leather collections, and sole manufacturers, which showcased designs for the winter season. Attendance exceeded 300 visitors from across Argentina and abroad.Despite the decline in exhibitors and overall attendance, the exhibition organizers, CAIPIC, considered the results positive, taking into account the event's size and the country's current political and economic context.
EXPOCAIPIC's value as the only valid meeting point between suppliers and manufacturers was reaffirmed, promoting unity within the industry as part of a collective effort to confront the challenges it faces.
