The Latin American footwear industry strengthens ties with Italian technology
The Association of Footwear and Related Chambers of Latin America -ACCAL- will participate as a strategic partner of SIMAC-TANNING TECH 2026, the leading international trade fair for machinery and technology for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries, which will take place from September 15 to 17 at Fiera Milano Rho, Italy.
For its part, the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Technologies -ASSOMAC- organizer of the specialized fair SIMAC-TANNING TECH, will take the opportunity to strengthen ties with industrial representatives from Latin America, in order to assess possible collaboration agreements and technical assistance for the sector.
To this end, on September 16, within the framework of the fair, a strategic meeting between both parties will be held, where a diagnosis of the Latin American footwear and tanning sector will be presented. The purpose will be to promote institutional connection, in order to reinforce technical assistance and collaboration in training, innovation and technological development.
“This participation will consolidate the relationship between the Latin American footwear industry and the Italian technological ecosystem, with a view toward a permanent cooperation agenda,” said Daniel Risafi, Coordinator of ACCAL.
SIMAC-TANNING TECH, organized by ASSOMAC, brings together more than 9,000 visitors from over 90 countries and 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, showcasing more than 1,500 technologies focused on automation, digitalization, production efficiency and sector sustainability.
