Industry presents its demands to the government
The visit of Jordi Hereu, Minister of Industry and Tourism, to Elda and Elche resumed the dialogue initiated in May with the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE) and the Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC) regarding the situation facing the footwear industry and its suppliers. The minister visited several companies to gain firsthand knowledge of the industry's production conditions.
The Action Plan was a central topic of discussions with industry representatives during the meeting at INESCOP (Centre for Technology and Innovation). The issues addressed included innovation, training, digitalization, investment and generational succession, according to FICE.
