Entities question Chinese ultra-fast fashion

The Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE), Footwear Components From Spain (AEC), the National Association of Footwear Retailers (ANCC) and the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Leather Goods, Travel Items and Related Products (ASEFMA) signed a joint statement to warn about the advance of ultra-fast fashion from China.
The entities stated that this business model conflicts with European environmental goals and warned about its impact on the perception of product value and on consumer habits. It also generates competitive distortions due to regulatory gaps and puts pressure on margins, prices and the continuity of SMEs, FICE reported.
