The Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (AVECAL) conducted a survey among its members. It was determined that 37.5% of those surveyed consider that the impact of exports on sales will represent more than 75% of the total by 2023.
In this way, the footwear industry in the Valencian Community finds growth and stability in foreign sales, due to the significant participation they have in their sales.
The instability in energy and raw material prices, combined with market volatility, generates concern and uncertainty among those surveyed. "The sector maintains moderate growth forecasts and in general is cautious in its expectations for 2023", said Marian Cano, president of the entity.
In addition, AVECAL reported that for this year, more than 14% of firms expect a growth in turnover of between 5% and 6%.
