AVECAL calls for improved conditions for the footwear industry
The Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (AVECAL) has urged public administrations to create an environment that allows brands in the sector to operate under more favorable conditions. Its president, Vicente Pastor, emphasized that consumption is being affected by geopolitical conflicts, as well as by significant bureaucratic and tax pressures that increase operational complexity.
He also noted that companies are expressing concern about absenteeism and the lack of generational replacement, which makes it more difficult to attract new talent. According to AVECAL, these factors affect productivity and the continuity of business activity.
