APICCAPS presents its industrial model at the UN
Luís Onofre, president of the Portuguese Footwear, Components, Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association (APICCAPS), participated in a discussion at the United Nations in New York on the evolution of Portugal's footwear and fashion industry, held concurrently with New York Fashion Week.
In describing the sector, he highlighted its artisanal foundations, flexibility, industrial capacity and cooperation among different stakeholders. He also maintained that price will not be the determining factor for the industry's future and pointed to investments in quality, innovation, responsiveness and responsible production as key factors that strengthen Portugal's position.
