Tanneries at 30% of their productive capacity

A group of 70 tanneries, located in the industrial park of Río Seco, Arequipa, suffer the effects of the pandemic. In this sense, due to the drop in demand for this sector, they work at 30% of the productive capacity.

This retraction in leather manufacturing also generated negative variations in the labor force, which fell to 30% of a total of close to 3,000 workers, industrial sources reported.
