BIRKENSTOCK operates in a new plant
In early September, the new manufacturing plant of the German company began its operations in the Berlin-Szczecin industrial park.
The investment amounted to approximately 110 million euros, and the construction took 17 months to complete. The workforce for the production unit includes both assembly line workers and administrative staff. Initially, around 200 job opportunities will be created, with plans to increase the staff to approximately a thousand employees in the medium term.
BIRKENSTOCK also announced that the factory located in Görlitz will focus solely on the production of cork-latex, thus modifying its strategy.
