

The Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and its Manufactured Goods Industrialists (ACICAM), in an ordinary session held on September 15, officially appointed Willian Parrado as the organization’s new Executive President.
The newly appointed executive is an economist from the National University of Colombia and a specialist in Project Management in Business Intelligence from Politécnico Grancolombiano. He has more than 14 years of experience in the leather, footwear and leather goods sector, with a career focused on economic analysis, business intelligence, competitiveness and the strengthening of trade association representation.
Before assuming the Executive Presidency, Parrado served as Director of Economic Research and Executive Vice President, as well as Acting Executive President of ACICAM. From these positions, he actively participated in the organization’s main processes of analysis, representation and institutional dialogue.
Throughout his career in the association, he has participated in processes related to Free Trade Agreements and international trade agreements, trade defense against unfair trade practices, value chain analysis and the generation of economic and statistical information for the sector. He has also represented ACICAM in national and international settings and has maintained ongoing dialogue with the National Government, public entities, international organizations, business leaders and actors across the production chain.
The Board of Directors of ACICAM expresses its support for Willian Parrado’s management and highlights his experience, technical knowledge and career within the trade association, all of which form part of his profile to assume the Executive Presidency and continue strengthening ACICAM’s institutional representation at national and international levels.
