In Bucaramanga, moderation is called in the protests and import control

Manufacturers and formal traders of footwear from Bucaramanga marched in the streets to request restraint and civility from the participants of the mobilizations, especially to avoid the blocking of communication routes and vandalism in shops and commercial premises.

They clarified that they support the protest, but ask for respect for freedom of work.

In statements to the press, the leaders of the sector requested “that every shoe that enters the country has a high tariff and without exceptions. That all pay the same tariff, as do other countries that protect their own product and labour. For every imported shoe that enters the country, one of our families is unemployed”.
