Footwear will be subject to a 35% tariff for five years

For five years, Colombia will apply a 35% tariff to certain footwear imports declared at FOB values equal to or below the limits established for specific tariff headings under Chapter 64.
Decree 0594 of June 11, 2026, establishes a threshold of between US$ 7 and US$ 11 per pair and also applies to footwear uppers when their FOB price is equal to or does not exceed US$ 5.90 per gross kilogram.
The measure excludes goods originating in countries with trade agreements currently in force. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism based the measure on the protection of the footwear industry, production and employment.
