The sector will have a voice through the Parliamentary Front
In mid-August, the Mixed Parliamentary Front for the Defense of the Leather-Footwear Sector was presented in Brasilia. The event had the participation of key players in the sector, such as the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (ABICALÇADOS), the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL), and the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB).
"The priority is to preserve job and income generation, ensuring that the country's economy can thrive despite the challenges we face", said the front's president, federal deputy Lucas Redecker (PSDB/RS).
Among the topics of interest for the sector, Haroldo Ferreira, executive president of the footwear entity, mentioned: access to credit, regulation of international digital platforms, and tax relief on the workforce, among others, as reported by ABICALÇADOS.
