From January to July 2021, Brazilian factories sent 2.3 million pairs of footwear to Peru, for an amount of US $ 12.8 million. These figures indicated an increase of 82% in the number of pairs and 23% in turnover compared to the same period of 2020.
The average value per pair in this period of 2021 was US $ 5.64, which represented a decrease of 32% compared to 2020, when the price per pair was US $ 8.33.
For a long time, Brazilian products have had a good presence in the Peruvian market, where recently there have been significant increases in their sales.
This is due to the continuity and competitiveness of the offer, and to the consolidation of commercial relations between Brazilian manufacturers and Peruvian buyers.
Through face-to-face and virtual actions, through the Brazilian Footwear program, promoted by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association -ABICALÇADOS- and the Export Promotion Agency -APEX-, the client portfolio has been expanded.
Within the schedule, between August 9th and 13th, the second business meeting was held, where 19 brands of Brazilian footwear received numerous Peruvian buyers with the purpose of expanding their sales in that market.
