Employment performance in the leather industry
The leather industry maintains a positive balance in terms of employment in 2021, despite the fact that 388 jobs were lost in October.
The negative trend was also replicated in previous months, when 30 fewer jobs were registered in September and -131 in August.
However, as of October, the sector has 31,202 workers, compared to 30,238 in 2020. This translates into 3.2% more, according to data from MTE/RAIS-CAGED, prepared and reported by CICB.
