What types of footwear does Argentina import from Brazil?

According to SECEX data prepared by ABICALÇADOS, the footwear with the highest volume of entry by predominant material are synthetic shoes.


After the United States, Argentina remains the largest buyer of Brazilian products.

ABICALÇADOS, the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association, and SECEX, Brazil’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade, released updated figures on footwear exports to Argentina for the January-August 2025 period, compared to the same period in 2024.

The data shows that Argentina purchased a total of 9.3 million pairs in the first eight months of 2025, representing a 37.4% increase in volume, while revenue rose by 5.5%. A significant finding was that average prices of Brazilian footwear decreased by 23.2% compared with the 2024-2025 period.

Currently, Argentina is the second-largest destination for Brazilian footwear exports. In August 2025 alone, the country acquired 1.63 million pairs valued at US$ 18.44 million, an increase of 68% in volume and 11.6% in value compared to August 2024.

Regarding product type, by predominant material and manufacturing process, the largest share of imports consisted of SYNTHETICS, followed by TEXTILES, LEATHER, and INJECTED footwear.
