In mid-December there was a meeting between the footwear sector and Sergio Massa -Minister of Economy-, accompanied by Matías Tombolini -Secretary of Commerce-. At the meeting, it was resolved that the price of sneakers has up to a 20% discount, in models and brands of more rotation among stores.
The reduction will be applied to the values of December 2022, while for January, February, March and April "a price path of up to 3% per month" is expected, the Ministry of Economy reported.
For his part, Tombolini considered the speed in the implementation of this measure to be important, especially due to the proximity to the end-of-year festivities. "We aspire that when going back to school, the prices for sale to the public are lower than those of November of this year", he added.
The brands that are part of the agreement are: ADIDAS, PUMA, NIKE, UMBRO, FILA, TOPPER, REEBOK, CROCS, KAPPA, ASICS, RIP CURL, HUSH PUPPIES, VANS, ALL STAR, NEW BALANCE, LOTTO, JAGUAR, LE COQ SPORTIF, CONVERSE, ADDNICE, DECKER, KIOSHI, DC, KALWER, COOPERSHOES, HEAD, FERLI, BICONTINENTAR, PONY and JOMA.
