With capital from Chinese investors, three manufacturing plants -formerly Tawara- have been recovered at the Caso logistics site, located on Route 9, 170 km from CABA. Two units will be used for footwear production, while the remaining one will manufacture plastic articles.
The footwear units will produce athletic sneakers and injected products similar to those of the “Crocs” brand.
Although the provision of the necessary energy capacity is still pending, most of the machines are already in operation, with newly hired personnel carrying out preliminary tests. According to estimates, the new source of employment will require more than 100 direct jobs in the region.
The investors’ legal representative clarified that they are Chinese residents of San Pedro, established for some time with various businesses in the city and settled there with their respective families.
Chinese engineers and technicians arrived for the start-up of the machinery and staff training, and are currently carrying out supervision tasks to ensure the proper operation of the industrial plants.
