INSPIRAMAIS: record-breaking attendance and international focus

With over 8,000 attendees, the trade show reaffirmed its return to São Paulo and generated US$ 8 million in business.

“Human” was the conceptual framework behind the materials exhibited.

Held on July 15–16, 2025, the 32nd edition of INSPIRAMAIS -the Brazilian supplier fair for the fashion industry in Latin America- took place at the Pro Magno Events Center, in the city where it was originally launched.

More than 150 exhibiting companies participated, and the event welcomed over 8,000 professionals and buyers, achieving a record level of attendance that surpassed all previous editions.

Silvana Dilly, superintendent of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL), positively valued the holding of the show in São Paulo and highlighted its ability to attract players from different segments of the industry.

In a changing global context, she stated, “INSPIRAMAIS stands out as a concrete example of how cooperation and international integration can generate positive, tangible results,” referring to the event’s role in boosting the fashion supply chain.

Research and creativity guided the developments presented

Under the direction of Walter Rodrigues, ASSINTECAL’s Design and Research Center presented developments based on the “Human” study, the conceptual axis of this edition.

This time, the central theme was Hope, linked to the need to overcome instability in social, climatic and war contexts. “Hope is the ferment of revolution,” said Rodrigues.

The research included two conceptual pillars: Community, influenced by ballet and emphasizing movement and comfort; and Utopia, centered on sensory experiences through shine, textures, prints and maximalist-style accessories, with an urban and pop approach.

International presence and business during the rounds

As part of the Buyer Project, delegations from 35 international groups visited from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador and Portugal. According to Luiz Ribas Júnior, International Market Manager at ASSINTECAL, the participating companies produce more than 800,000 pairs per month and show high business potential.

According to the entity that brings together Brazilian suppliers, the business matchmaking sessions resulted in 517 meetings and immediate deals worth R$ 8.3 million (US$ 1.5 million), with projected outcomes exceeding R$ 44.5 million (US$ 8 million).

The initiative was part of BRAZILIAN MATERIALS, a joint program between ASSINTECAL and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

With support from ASSINTECAL, thirteen companies from Colombia and Peru also joined the event. Business caravans were organized from five Brazilian manufacturing hubs, in collaboration with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE), facilitating the arrival of over 340 domestic buyers.

Porto Alegre to host the next edition

In 2026, INSPIRAMAIS will hold its January edition on the 27th and 28th at the FIERGS Events Center in Porto Alegre. The second edition of the year is scheduled for July 28–29, once again in São Paulo.
