INSPIRAMAIS projects the future of materials and components in Porto Alegre

INSPIRAMAIS. A renowned space for innovation and creativity in materials and components for the footwear and manufactured goods industries.

The Fiergs Event Center, located in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, will host the 33rd edition of INSPIRAMAIS on January 27 and 28, 2026. The show brings together more than 150 supplying companies for the footwear, fashion accessories, apparel, and furniture sectors, and is expected to exceed 8,000 visitors, including attendees from Latin America and Europe.

The fair is recognized not only as an access point to new material launches but also as a business platform for both domestic and international markets.

According to Silvana Dilly -Superintendent of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL)- the expected growth in footwear production should benefit INSPIRAMAIS, which gathers the industry’s suppliers.

She also recalled that last year’s Buyers Program generated more than 44 million reais (over US$ 8 million) in international sales.

The Turning Point research inspires the launches

The Turning Point is the research study that inspired the more than one thousand materials and components to be presented at the fair, all characterized by sustainability and innovation.

The concept is based on the book The Turning Point by Fritjof Capra and describes the transition from a “liquid modernity” to a “gaseous modernity,” a stage defined by speed and volatility. According to Walter Rodrigues -Coordinator of ASSINTECAL’s Research and Design Center- the study highlights the need for a transformation grounded in ecological principles and a feminine perspective.

The Turning Point explores three axes: “Holistic Gaseous,” featuring translucent materials, volume, and the application of AI; “Biological Gaseous,” focusing on biopolymers, fabrics developed from bacterial cultures, and nanocellulose; and “Rupture,” which promotes three-dimensional constructions and “narrative disruptions” to recover individuality.
