A new joint edition of the International Footwear and Leather Show (IFLS) and the International Exhibition of Leather and Supplies, Machinery and Technology (EICI) was held from August 3 to 5, 2026, at Corferias, Bogotá, with 325 exhibitors connected to different links of the chain.
Delegations and companies arrived from Mexico, Brazil, China and Italy, giving the event an international dimension. The proposals presented focused on industrial processes, materials, sustainability, machinery and innovation. For Colombian companies, this participation opened opportunities for technical and commercial contact with players from other markets.
Meanwhile, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and designers of footwear and manufactured goods comprised a flow of 6,300 specialized visitors. On this occasion, IFLS+EICI reached US$ 12 million in on-site operations, while business forecasts for the coming quarter were estimated at US$ 3.5 million.
The institutional analysis was communicated by Willian Armando Parrado, executive president of the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and its Manufactured Goods Industrialists (ACICAM): “This edition leaves us with a positive balance, with new business opportunities and connections between Colombian companies and international markets,” he stated.
In addition, the transformation taking place in the industry was reflected through content on processes, materials, technologies, designs and consumer trends. In this regard, the merely exhibition-based setting was complemented by a program that included networking spaces, runway shows, an academic agenda and inspiration areas, according to the organizing entity.
