BFSHOW: Brazil’s largest footwear trade fair begins

The leading Brazilian industries and brands will exhibit in São Paulo, with forecasts of strong attendance.


A rapidly growing event in both scale and diversity, attracting national and international buyers.

Organized by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) and NürnbergMesse Brasil, the fair celebrates its fifth edition, consolidating its international reach and strategic role in strengthening the footwear value chain. From November 10 to 12, at the Anhembi district in São Paulo (SP), the event will host 670 buyers (505 domestic and 165 international) invited through the Buyers Program, an initiative of BFSHOW that aims to bring together importers and retail representatives, selected jointly with exhibitors, to explore and establish business relationships with leading brands in the Western footwear industry.

Domestic visitors

Among the invited Brazilian buyers are established companies seeking strategic partnerships and innovation. Antonio Carlos Amorim, purchasing manager at Armazém Paraíba -a retail chain with 45 stores and a strong presence in Piauí, Maranhão, and Bahia- has attended the fair since its first edition. “We are looking for suppliers who can also be post-sale partners. Retail is going through a challenging period, which is why we need fashionable products at accessible prices, especially focused on the 2026 summer collections,” he stated.

The businessman also highlighted the event’s networking potential: “BFSHOW is a unique opportunity for negotiations and connections in one of the world’s major business hubs, offering experiences and contacts with people from diverse regions.”

Importers are expected

The 163 importers invited through the Buyers Program represent 56 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The fair is expected to welcome around 12,000 visitors in total, with at least 10% coming from abroad.

Among the international guests is Puseletso Mwakalombe, CEO of Glamshoes Limited from Zambia, attending the event for the first time. With e-commerce operations targeting the Southern African market, Mwakalombe is seeking premium and innovative products focused on comfort, sustainability, and design. “Clients are increasingly attentive to trends and comfort. In addition to footwear, I am looking for accessories, digital retail solutions, trend insights, new technologies, and shopping experiences such as virtual stores,” she explained.

Content and services

To serve visitors seeking not only good business but also information and inspiration, BFSHOW will offer a series of lectures at the Content Arena. Among them, “The link that drives the market”, presented by Rodrigo Prado, commercial representative mentor, will provide a strategic perspective on how to align industry, representation, and retail to turn relationships into results. Another session, “From feed to sale: real stories of how content sells footwear on TikTok Shop”, will explore sales strategies on the platform. The talk will be conducted by Eric Chien, Head of Fashion, and Gabriela Pereira, Account Manager at TikTok, which will also have its own booth at the event, within the area dedicated to special services for the footwear industry.
