BRAZIL. Gramado trade fairs move to Novo Hamburgo
Merkator Feiras e Eventos and Fenac have entered into a strategic “parceria” to stage both footwear trade fairs in the Fenac pavilions, located in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul.
According to executives from both parties, this alliance will further strengthen Brazil’s footwear sector, combining expertise, capabilities and infrastructure to enhance results for exhibitors and visitors.
The next edition of SICC will take place from June 29 to July 1, 2026, positioned as the main platform for Spring/Summer 2026/27 footwear and accessories launches. ZERO+ is scheduled for January 11-13, 2027.
According to Marlos Schmidt, interim CEO of Fenac, “we will act jointly, in alignment and joining forces between Merkator, Fenac and the industrial unions, to take significant steps in the evolution of the trade fairs and deliver better results for exhibitors and visitors”.
For Merkator director Roberta Pletsch, “the market had been signaling that holding the events in Gramado was becoming difficult, mainly due to logistics, and we chose Novo Hamburgo, which is one of the largest footwear hubs in Latin America”.
