APLF scheduled new fair in Bangkok in October and returns to Dubai in 2023

Both events will consolidate the organization as the largest international business promoter of leather and manufactures.

Bangkok next October will be the meeting point for the international leather-manufactures sector.

In the first days of June, APLF held an online press conference where the results of the recent Dubai fair were analyzed, which was confirmed as an important global meeting point for the leather industry.

On that occasion, David Bondi, director of APLF and senior vice president of the INFORMA MARKETS ASIA company, highlighted that the company was motivated by the success obtained in the special edition held last March in Dubai, and for this reason, had resolved to ratify its next realization for March 2023 in the same place.

The manager explained that Dubai proved to be a good place, due to the infrastructure and facilities available in the city, the ease of travel interconnections, the fewer restrictions regarding Covid and the high quality of the modern exhibition center. All together, it created a positive environment for business that left important results for the participants who arrived from different parts of the world.

On the other hand, the director of APLF, referred to the absence of visitors from China and Southeast Asia at the Dubai fair, which is why they decided to hold a special edition in October 2022 in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Due to its strategic location in the region, the organizers hope to attract a greater number of exhibitors and buyers in one of the areas of greatest industrial and commercial activity in the East.

He also announced that due to the strict sanitary measures due to Covid still in force in Hong Kong and Mainland China, INFORMA MARKETS made the decision to hold the ACLE -All China Leather- leather exhibition from August 31st to September 2nd, only as a local event. “Shanghai has been in strict lockdown since the beginning of April”, said David Bondi, “and only now, in early June, is it starting to open up”.

As for APLF, and given the possibility that international travelers will still face restrictions to enter Hong Kong at the beginning of 2023, INFORMA MARKETS decided to opt again for Dubai for March 13th, 14th and 15th, 2023. “I think that this year we had the best fair we could have had, given the circumstances in Dubai. In general, the comments we received were positive and that is why we decided on Dubai again for March 2023. With this decision we are giving certainty to exhibitors and visitors".

Finally, APLF Events Director Grace Lee noted that at an appropriate time APLF will return to Hong Kong, and for now, the Dubai and Bangkok fairs are only temporary.
