SUGAR SHOES installs new factory in Ceará
After having reached an agreement with the state government on a special industrial incentive regime, the Brazilian group decided to create a new industrial plant in Pedra Branca/CE, which will initially employ 100 people. In the same state, the company has two units in Senador Pompeu and another in Solonópole, which operate under the Neorubber brand, where they inject sandals and soles. Daily production is 15 to 20 thousand pairs, most of them sports, casual and children’s footwear.
Among its licensed brands are COCA COLA, FLAMENGO, VASCO, COLCCI and ARAMIS. Its strategic decision to settle in Ceará was due to logistics reasons, related to the relative proximity to the port of Pecém, which facilitates exports to markets such as Europe and the United States.
