MINERVA: the leading global leather supplier
The Brazilian group MINERVA, headquartered in Barretos, São Paulo, is dedicated to the meat industry and is the largest exporter of wet-blue and semi-finished hides in Latin America. Its main markets include China, Italy, the United States, and Vietnam.
Founded in 1924, the company now operates 46 industrial plants located in Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Argentina, and Australia, producing more than 15,000 bovine hides per day, exported to over 100 countries.
MINERVA is publicly traded, with shares owned by several investors, including the founding Vilela de Queiróz family holding VDQ, the Saudi fund SALIC, and other institutional investors.
