DR. MARTENS left Mexico and Argentina

In the first months of 2022 -January and February- the emblematic British brand of lace-up boots and “heavy” shoes, with typical military-style modeling, dismantled its commercial structure in both countries.

In Mexico City it had exclusive stores in the Roma, Centro, Polanco neighborhoods and in the city of Guadalajara, while in Argentina it was present in the Unicenter, Alto Palermo, Alcorta shopping malls and Palermo. In all points, products with discounts of between 40 and 60% were liquidated.

From circles close to the company, they reported that in Argentina, the departure was due to lack of stock, due to restrictions on imports; while in Mexico, they alluded that the growth of online sales did not justify maintaining physical stores and staff.
