The SAG Tan Mesh model by STEVE MADDEN represents an interesting aesthetic and functional hybridization that fits fully into contemporary trends in transitional and summer footwear, combining the classic structure of a dockside or moccasin with the lightness of technical materials.
The design includes the perimeter lacing typical of dockside, along with a front lace-up adjustment. Its most distinctive feature is the replacement of traditional materials with a mesh, which provides greater breathability and lightness, aligning with the trend toward semi-transparent footwear.
To maintain the model’s structural stability, the mesh is combined with reinforcements (commonly in leather or tone-on-tone synthetic material) in critical areas: the vamp-upper section, the heel and the collar contour where the eyelets are inserted.The sole is thin and flexible, approximately 6 mm thick, facilitating a natural and comfortable step. Underneath, it features a textured surface with good grip, ideal for everyday urban use. The internal construction is free of dense linings in order to enhance the freshness of the mesh.
The Tan color, a light brown/cinnamon shade, brings an organic and classic feel, balancing the modernity of the technical textile with the traditional chromatic language of leather footwear.
