One of its proponents is Bulgarian fashion designer Kiko Kostadinov, based in London and founder of his namesake brand.
His latest release is the Sonia Slip On Brogue model, which stands out for its avant-garde approach and its ability to transform a classic design -the traditional Brogue- into something fully contemporary and utilitarian. It represents the fusion of two opposing worlds, combining the formal elegance of a W Oxford toe-cap shoe with the practicality of a lace-free slip-on style.
Among other features, the perforated and serrated detailing on the upper pieces is preserved, giving the design an aggressive yet technical appearance.
The elastic collar facilitates easy on and off wear and improves ankle mobility. The rubber sole, with distinctive moldings and textures, provides traction similar to that of an athletic sneaker.
Another relevant aspect of this footwear is the use of bold colors and combinations, such as burgundy with fuchsia, khaki with light brown, or blue-green paired with seafoam tones.
