SPORTY MULES: They expand their offer to become a trend
The footwear style that combines the look of a sports sneaker with the open-back structure of a clog is generally known as sneakers mules or backless sneakers, an offer that is being refreshed to consolidate as a trend for the upcoming Spring-Summer season.
Its main appeal lies in versatility and the ease of putting them on and taking them off without using hands or untying laces.
They also make it possible to keep a casual, sporty (athleisure) look, but with a more relaxed, summer-ready feel.
Soles can vary widely. Models appear both with classic flat soles and cupsoles, as well as with chunky or platform soles, following current urban sneaker trends.
Major brands such as Adidas, Nike and Puma have incorporated “mule” versions of their most iconic models into their recent collections.
